The first step is to figure out how you can use your talents and creativity to help transform the lives of orphans.
Need an idea? Donate your birthday! All you have to do is simply invite others to give to Show Hope in lieu of presents. This is an easy way to do something now!
You could also collect change with your family, hold a bake sale, run a race, host a benefit concert, organize a bowl-a-thon... you can use whatever your interests or hobbies are to speak up for orphans and help give them hope!
The next step, once you know what you want to do, is to figure out when you want to do it and how much you want to raise!
Pick a specific date: Setting a timeline for your goal helps keep up the energy! You can donate your birthday, or other great dates are: Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Orphan Sunday (in November, which is National Adoption Awareness Month).
Choose a target amount: It helps to know what you want to do, and a goal can help energize people to respond. We find a lot of people set a minimum goal of $500, but you can do whatever you want!

Now that you've got everything you need, it's time to raise the funds that will transform an orphan's future!
Be sure to take pictures of your effort. Then write up your story and email us a Word document and pictures of what you did! This will allow us to further encourage other Advocates in their efforts, and you may just find your picture in our newsletter or on our website! Send your story to advocates@showhope.org.
There are two ways you can get us the funds.
- Collect all the money at your event and have checks made out to Show Hope. Then mail us all the money you raised in one package to:
