Our Miracle Child
The Wright family is waiting to bring home Isaac

When our son Isaac was admitted to Maria’s Big House of Hope (MBHOH), he was severely malnourished, nearly to the point of death. His survival would take a miracle, which is just what he found through the life-giving medical treatment and incomparable love and nurture he received at MBHOH. I want to extend my endless thanks to the donors and sponsors who have committed their time and resources necessary in order to care for orphans in their distress.

I know Isaac’s story mirrors that of so many other treasured children who come through the doors of Show Hope’s Special Care Centers. These children find physical and emotional healing in the arms of loving caregivers, and they also find something else that they might not have expected: hope.

For Isaac, hope came in the form of the medical staff who worked countless hours to nurse him back to health. It also came in the form of the fabulous nannies who have helped him begin to understand the tender love of a mother, healing his heart and allowing him to trust. It is clear that the Lord has never left Isaac’s side and that His provision has been worked through Maria’s Big House of Hope.

Even with all Isaac has been through in his four short years, the Lord has preserved his joy in a way that shines through his eyes and giant smile. The once scared, sick little boy is now best described as “joy wrapped in a human body.” He loves people and playing with any newcomers. When visitors enter the doors of this big blue house of hope, they are often greeted by a little boy wheeling his wheelchair quickly down the hall, arms waving, shouting “hello, hello!” with all the excitement of a Christmas morning.

This remarkable recreation of Isaac’s life is possible only because of the ongoing donations made by the wonderful Show Hope sponsors and donors whose selfless giving provides the medical care and love children like him now get to experience. These generous gifts allow the extraordinary facilities to continue providing life-giving care to so many children just like Isaac.

As Isaac’s forever family, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Quite simply, Isaac would not be here today if not for the care provided at MBHOH. As the day approaches for us to bring home forever our miracle child Isaac, we are endlessly thankful for Show Hope and the sponsors and donors who saved our son’s life.
