SHOW HOPE PRESENTS EMPOWERED TO CONNECT CONFERENCE

September 1, 2010 - Nashville, TN - Show Hopeā„¢, the adoption organization founded by Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman, is partnering with Empowered To Connect to present the Empowered To Connect Conference in Nashville on September 10th and 11th, 2010. The conference will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Green Hills, located at 33 Burton Hills Drive.

This first-time event for Nashville will be hosted by longtime Show Hope board members and friends of the Chapmans, Dan and Terri Coley. The two-day conference will feature two tracks with sessions and workshops led by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Michael and Amy Monroe, and participants are highly encouraged to attend sessions on both days. Professionals are eligible to receive CEU credit for their participation on September 10th.

The upcoming conference has already received an overwhelming response of registrants. At press time, 19 states from around the nation are being represented. Space is still available, yet it is recommended to register as soon as possible as the conference is expected to be at full capacity.

Friday, September 10th: Day one is specifically designed for those focused on serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists, adoption and orphan advocates, and others involved in adoption and foster care ministries or services.
 
Saturday, September 11th:
Day two is tailored to the needs of adoptive and foster parents (pre and post adoption and foster care).

Conference sessions will be held from 9am-5pm on both days. Light refreshments will be provided during breaks throughout the event, with "on your own" lunch breaks scheduled from 12-1:30pm.
