Each orphan in the world has a name and a story, and each waiting child needs a family. For the church to really have an impact, we need first to hit our knees. From prayer springs action, born of love. We are inviting all those willing to join us in praying for these children and every orphan who is waiting for a family.

Alicia loves to play board games, swim, play basketball, ride her bike and play WII video games. She is a great entertainer who likes to sing and dance. Alicia is sure to brighten up anyone’s day with her beautiful smile and unique sense of humor. Alicia is shy at first, but becomes very outgoing once she gets to know you! Alicia is a loving child and needs an adoptive family that will love, support, and nurture her growth into adulthood.

Tre is a very polite, inquisitive child with a warm personality. He is very sociable and loves to share and interact with friends. Tre would enjoy having siblings to play with, and hopes for a family that loves sports and outdoor activities. He enjoys school and his teachers. Austin is a really sweet, shy young boy who enjoys life. He likes working on puzzles, playing board games and soccer, and is learning how to play dominoes. Austin is learning how to take turns and lose with grace. He is good at doing his chores, playing with animals, and playing with other children. He needs a family that will be patient and reassuring in their unconditional love. Austin's family should be able to advocate for his educational needs in order to help Austin reach his full potential.

Santo is a well-mannered and polite young man. He would like to be a professional football player when he grows up. Santo has also expressed an interest in playing basketball or being an auto mechanic. While some of his favorite meals are from fast food chains, Santo shares that he would love a good home-cooked meal. Santo need a home with structure and consistency. Santo’s adoptive family will need to be open and supportive of his counseling due to family separation.

Crystal is an independent young lady who hopes to go to college and eventually earn advanced degrees so she can have any job she wants. Crystal enjoys riding horses, talking on the phone, going to the mall, singing and writing music. She has an outgoing, express personality. Crystal would love a family consisting of strong, experienced parents who would support her in extracurricular pursuits. She would benefit from the opportunity to observe a healthy marriage and spend time with adults who love her.

Lisa* Born at the end of 2005, Lisa is an incredible girl with bright eyes and chubby cheeks. She enjoys physical activities such as playing on the jungle gym and jumping on the trampoline. Lisa is described as a happy and bright child who enjoys being around other people. She is affectionate and gives the younger children hugs and kisses. She can speak in her native language and knows some English words. She waits for her own family because she is HIV positive. Her family will be so lucky to see her smile each day! She has been waiting for a family for almost a year now. Her reference number is H09-02.

Matthew* This cute seven year old came into the interview with his roller blades and helmet on! He didn’t want to cut his play time short! He is described as playful and bit of a ham! He is okay with sharing and taking turns. His favorite cartoons are Altaman and Seven. He enjoyed taking African drumming lessons at his orphanage. Matthew attends school and can read. When he grows up he would like to be a scientist. He is in foster care and helps with chores if he knows he will get to play afterwards. He has no known health issues. owen* This likeable boy was born in June 2003. He is in foster care and attends school. He is very helpful in his foster family and does age appropriate chores. Owen enjoys sports, music and art. He learned to play piano while at the orphanage. He understands sharing and taking turns. His favorite toys are remote-controlled cars. Owen is very alert and observant and has a cute personality. He is slightly shorter than other boys his age and has a growth hormone deficiency that will be treated soon. Owen is a "Journey of Hope" boy, and his reference number is 210-17JH.

Nate* This adorable boy was born in August 2003. The teachers describe him as a “clever little guy.” He is a good student whose favorite classes include sports, language and art. He is great at drawing, and his pictures are frequently displayed. He is described as shy but it is hard to believe when he asked the social worker to dance during the orphanage program! Social workers loved this funny, social boy. Caregivers say he is a good role model for the younger playmates. Nate has a heart defect. Josiah* This little guy gets around well on his knees when he wants to move around! He has club feet that need some repair. He was sweet and pretty quiet during the interview, but he eventually opened up when received his gift bag! Josiah likes the old Tom and Jerry cartoons. He enjoys balls, blocks, and playing outside. He also likes music and sweets. When he plays with other children, he is outgoing. He is said to have an open, nice personality. He is a Journey of Hope child, and his reference number is 210-43JHa.

Clark* This boy was born in February 2002. He is hearing impaired, but he knows some simple signs. He can also read some simple words. Clark is outgoing and helps look after the younger children in the orphanage. His personality is described as outgoing and calm. He has a good sense of humor. He enjoys going to the park to play catch, although he doesn’t have many opportunities to do so. As a Journey of Hope child there is much more information available.
