Show Hope Global Training Program

The Global Training Program is a training course designed to equip students (15-22 years old) to become orphan care advocates and leaders in their culture. Each day, our Show Hope staff leaders will guide you through a course training focusing on God's heart for the fatherless and how He is calling you to get involved. This once in a lifetime trip is intended to help you discover your unique response to God's mandate to care for orphans and to provide you with the tools you'll need to start advocating and leading upon returning home. Join us either in Haiti or China to receive your Show Hope global training certificate after completing the course training.

Trip Descriptions

HAITI

Destination: Hands and Feet Project - Jacmel, Haiti
Estimated Costs: $1700 per person
Included expenses: All travel, lodging, and meal expenses from the gateway city to Haiti and back to the gateway city.**

The Global Training Program is open to students 15-22 years old. 

Description: We will be staying at the "Hands and Feet Project" facility that currently cares for 70 children, ranging in age from newborn to young teens. During the day, we will engage in multiple activities with the kids and will perform several service projects for the orphanage throughout the week. We will also spend time together as a team daily, growing in our understanding of our calling to care for the abandoned. At the end of the week, we will have completed Show Hope's orphan care training program and each team member will be launched back in to his/her hometown ready to lead others in this discovery process. We will also have opportunities to interact with the local community to further experience Haitian culture and cuisine.

China

Destination: Maria's Big House of Hope - Luoyang, China
Estimated Costs: $3600 per person
Included expenses: All travel, lodging, and meal expenses from the gateway city to China and back to the gateway city.**

The Global Training Program is open to students 15-22 years old. 

Description: We will spend the majority of our time at the Show Hope Special Care Center, Maria's Big House of Hope, a six-story medical care center for orphans with special needs located in Luoyang, China. Activities will include coming alongside the nannies to play and interact with the children, small work projects as needed at Maria's Big House of Hope. We will also spend time together as a team daily, growing in our understanding of our calling to care for the abandoned. At the end of the week, we will have completed Show Hope's orphan care training program and each team member will be launched back in to his/her hometown ready to lead others in this discovery process. In addition, we will visit various tourist sites in Beijing, go shopping and enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine. 

**The price is all-inclusive: all meals, lodging, in-country trasnportation, insurance, interpreters, bottled water, sightseeing, etc. The total trip cost does not include passport fees (if applicable), immunizations, excess baggage charges, souvenirs, personal items, communication (internet/telephone), or snacks. Also, it is important to note that the cost of airfaire to/from the team member's hometown to the gateway city is the responsibility of the team member.
